Why not? Actually, we had better say “creating music with toys” in this case! This aspect makes the Playtoy show very instructive and of great educational interest.
With the PTO even classic masterpieces become accessible! The Playtoy sound is definitely captivating and hilarious, capable of bringing people closer to music and making them more curious about its various genres and styles ( easy jazz, classical music masterpieces, bossa nova etc …). It makes music “knowable” and “portable”, just like a toy! After all, “to ”play an instrument” and “to play with a toy” are just two sides of the same coin!

Thanks to the universal language of music, the PTO has performed in the most prestigious Italian and foreign theatres (Luxemburg, Porto, Bogotà, Seoul, Tirana, Grenoble, Nice, Cartage, Tunis, Montpellier, Sofia, Rome, Neaples, Palermo, Milan, Udine; Bologna etc…).
Under the prestigious educational purposes pursued by the PTO, lies the fact that this innovative toy-band has been working rubbing elbows with the Piccolo Coro dell’Antoniano (the real protagonist of the Zecchino D’Oro, the internationally famous Italian music festival for children) for years. It has been years, in fact, since Fabrizio Cusani, founder and director of the PTO, is among the members of the jury in the above mentioned, well-known singing contest which takes place every year in Bologna (Italy) and is broadcasted, for children’s delight, by the 1st national Italian TV channel.

Playtoy live shows promote interaction between musicians and an active public.
Attendants children are often asked to get on stage to conduct the orchestra. This off-the-track initiative has always proved involving and fruitful.
The ultimate purpose of the PTO is to draw youngsters closer to the “Great Music” of the past, spreading as much as possible its unbounded cultural heritage. Playtoy live shows are a good chance for people of different nationalities and backgrounds to get together on a common scenario, which enhances cultural exchange and integration.

Initiative associated to the  PTO educational project:
“Bring a toy to theatre!”, it will be offered as a gift to a child who has never owned one!
